View of the Saronic Gulf from Aegina Greece

Date: Jan 7, 2021

Media: Oil on linen canvas

Dimensions: 30 x 24 x 1.5cm

Note: Christmas was over and the new year had begun. It was a relaxing time at home with an open day. Something about the distant view of the sea between Moni and Agistri drew me in. I decided to start painting outside, fully enjoying the experience. The sound of seagulls and the little ripples in the water moving like magic.

From our village in Tzikides you can see almost the whole western Saronic Gulf all the way from Methana to Corinth. We see some wild storms and sunsets every day from here. It was nice to paint outdoors again after being in the studio so much.
